The "Quest" Keep.

One must be prepared.
There are four distinct categories of weapons allowed in the "Quest". Different scenarios allow some or all of these (day or night). They are:

Shinai - store bought Kendo practice swords; Great Sword - lightly padded two handed swords; Chaos weapons - more heavily padded weapons with varying lengths and styles, Missile Weapons - throwing javelins, padded arrows, Absolutely no other weapons are to be thrown.
You will notice several common denominators in weapon construction. Strapping tape, and less Duct tape make for a lighter and more durable weapon. Hafts are up to you're own discrimination regarding strength and safety, we do not recommend wooden dowels, broomsticks, or PVC pipe. Note: Greatswords are usually a little more rigid, to retain their shape and usage, not as rigid as any Shinai though. Swords are to be more than padded hafts. Chaos weapons are to be given 3 inches of padding (for safety), these are great weapons, allowed to fight after dark as well as in the days events. All exposed haft must be 2/3 or more padded with pipe insulation or similar. The Shinai (common Kendo swords) are the most rigid weapons allowed (during daylight hours only). A few hints or pieces of advise, lay the tape in lengths, do not compress, and buy tightly woven Duct Tape, contact cement works well when you follow the directions. Well made weapons can last years, poorly made weapons will not last. Experimentation is part of weapon building, Please take note so we don't hurt each other.
